PEDIATRIC PELVIC FRACTURES: AREVIEW ARTICLE AND A CASE REPORT

Introduction:Pediatric pelvic fractures are most commonly associated with high energy fractures, mostly due to motor vehicle accidents. Children poorly tolerate any significant blood loss, so, child presents a fracture must be investigated for multi-organ injury, or possible life -threatening retroperitoneal hemorrhage, an increased potential death. Method: A literature search was conducted included articles from 2001 till 2017on pediatric fracture, including stable and unstable acetabular, sacroiliac joint injuries, excluded adult population. Results: Conservative management is the main treatment in hemodynamically patients, good anatomical reduction, however , external fixator gold standard as temporary management.This, often followed by open closed reduction internal fixation screws only plates screws, which consistent achieving early stability, better union rates hence return normal daily activities.
